1. Smartphone Gaming Tercanggih dan Tercepat Saat Ini
Dari segi spesifikasi, ASUS memastikan menyematkan teknologi tercanggih dan termutakhir untuk ROG Phone. Dimulai dari dapur pacu yang diperkuat prosesor Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. Chipset-nya sendiri di-overclock hingga 2,96Ghz dengan delapan inti CPU Kryo dan GPU Adreno 630. Hal ini menjadikan ROG Phone sebagai smartphone dengan prosesor tercanggih dan tercepat saat ini. ASUS pun menjamin prosesor berkekuatan super ini membuat smartphone ini anti lag atau patah-patah saat bermain game dengan kualitas grafis tinggi.
ASUS ROG Phone memiliki RAM sebesar 8GB dengan kapasitas penyimpanan mencapai 512GB. Tentunya, dengan ukuran ROM seperti ini lo enggak perlu khawatir lagi kehabisan memori saat ingin mengunduh game baru. ASUS juga meluncurkan varian lain dengan ROM sebesar 128GB.
Dari segi tampilan, ASUS ROG Phone memiliki ukuran layar yang sebenarnya enggak begitu besar. Apalagi jika dibandingkan dengan smartphone kekinian yang punya layar serba lebar. Meski begitu, layar AMOLED berukuran 6 inci dengan resolusi 2160x1080 ini dilengkapi dengan ragam fitur canggih. Sebut saja angka refresh rate yang mencapai 90Hz dengan waktu respons 1ms piksel, rasio kontras 10.000:1, dan color gamut 108.6% DCI-P3. Layarnya juga memiliki sensor sentuh multi-touch hingga 10 titik.
2. Baterai Bertenaga dengan HyperCharge
Untuk mendukung perangkat keras bertenaga super ini, ASUS menyematkan baterai berkapasitas 4.000mAh sebagai sumber tenaga. Memang enggak begitu besar jika dibandingkan dengan beberapa varian smartphone ASUS lainnya seperti Zenfone Max Pro M1 yang kapasitasnya mencapai 5.000mAh. Meski begitu, output baterai ROG Phone diklaim lebih efisien berkat Snapdragon 845 yang terkenal canggih dan hemat baterai. ASUS juga memberikan adapter berteknologi HyperCharge yang memungkinkan pengisian daya baterai lebih cepat. ROG Phone hanya butuh waktu 33 menit untuk mencapai angka 66%, serta satu jam untuk mencapai 85%.
3. Smartphone yang Peka sama Gamers
Bukan cuma canggih, ROG Phone bisa dibilang juga menjadi smartphone gaming paling peka sama mobile gamers. Selama ini, bermain game sambil mengisi daya baterai selalu jadi kendala karena letak port USB yang berada di bagian bawah. Keberadaan kabel pun jadi mengganggu kenyamanan saat bermain. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, ASUS sengaja meletakkan port utama di bagian samping agar enggak mengganggu saat bermain sambil ngecas. Port USB di bagian bawah pun tetap disediakan sebagai port cadangan.
Selain itu, ASUS juga menyematkan sensor ultrasonik di bagian samping kiri ROG Phone. Sensor ini akan berfungsi layaknya tombol trigger di gamepad. Keberadaan sensor ini pun memungkinkan lo untuk menyentuh layar empat jari sekaligus. Hal ini pun bakal membantu lo banget saat memainkan game FPS seperti PUBG Mobile atau Fortnite.
Ada hal menarik lainnya dari segi perangkat lunak. ASUS sengaja menyediakan sistem operasi Android yang berbeda dari smartphone ASUS lainnya. Lo enggak akan menemukan OS ZEN UI dalam ROG Phone. Sebagai gantinya, smartphone ini akan menggunakan tampilan antar muka ROG Gaming UI yang berbasis Android Oreo.
4. Punya Banyak Aksesoris Gokil
Dari semua itu, hal yang paling menarik dari ASUS ROG Phone adalah ragam aksesoris bawaannya. Dalam paket penjualan, ASUS menyediakan aksesoris bawaan bernama AeroActive Cooler. Aksesoris ini berfungsi sebagai pendingin saat smartphone ini panas saat digunakan. Untuk menggunakannya, aksesoris ini tinggal dicolokkan ke lubang USB yang berada di bagian samping kiri.
TwinView Dock menjadi aksesoris yang paling menarik perhatian. Aksesoris ini membuat ROG Phone bisa digunakan layaknya Nintendo DS dengan dua layar dalam satu perangkat yang bisa dilipat. Layar tambahan tersebut terletak di bagian bawah. Sedangkan di bagian atas menjadi tempat untuk meletakkan ROG Phone.

Namun, di rilis pers daring, terungkap bahwa kamera yang digunakan smartphone ini memiliki spesifikasi yang enggak jauh beda dengan ASUS Zenfone 5. Kamera utama memiliki dua lensa dengan resolusi 12MP dan 8MP (120° wide-angle), serta kamera depan 8MP. Enggak diketahui juga apakah kamera ROG Phone akan menggunakan teknologi AI yang sama dengan Zenfone 5.
